Well, So far so good...I've got myself a wash chart laid out to stick too. So that I can test this out in all honesty and give it a chance to see if it will work for me or not...
So here is what I am doing.
I have thick hair, that is about 1 to 2 inches past bra strap/mid back. And I make a double batch (3 to 4 washes worth)...So here's the mix I use, and my wash chart...
1.) Boil 70oz of water for 12 min - I have hard water so I have to boil the water to get out a bunch of the harsh minerals and natural minerals from our well, also I do 4 or so extra ounces of water because a lot evaporates off in the boiling process
2.) Strain through coffee filter into containers - I use the filters to keep the minerals that are floating in the water/on the sides/bottom of pan from getting into my containers. - I have two 33.8 oz containers, one for soda one for acv
3.) Let cool!
4.) Add Baking Soda to one container -1/2 Cup Soda to 32 oz. of water add a little at a time so that it doesn't fiz/bubble/foam over - SHAKE AND MIX WELL - DONT try to add soda to container first then add boiling water over it, the soda has a tendency to actually harden and solidify in the bottom of the container as the water cools if done this way
5.) Then add apple cider vinegar (acv) - 4 1/2 oz vinegar to 32 oz water - the vinegar smell DOES go away as your hair drys, it actually goes away rather quickly I have found.
Let your hair fully dry, and then brush out. I found that letting my hair dry entirely makes it so I can brush my hair with out any knots in it.
Now for the first week I wash daily
Next two weeks every other day
Next two weeks every two to three days
From here on out weekly (if this all works)
IF you do decide to do this, remember that you need to research it. There IS a detox period for your hair that takes one to two weeks. Where you hair possibly will get quit greasy. From your oil glands being cleaned and no longer clogged, and needing to re-regulate themselves. The acv is there to help seal your hair cuticles and balance your hair ph back to normal/natural. This way your hair is not brittle, dry, frizzy.
Anyway, so far so good, and that's where I'm at! :)
